hey, i'm theo strauss, the 16 y/o running 361º. for the past five years, i've been exploring the intersection of photography, design, and code, to create the experiences powering the future.
i believe the key to creating experiences that go one more is crafting them around the perspectives at their heart: the perspectives of the people. harnessing the energy of nyc, i've been able to talk with the best founders, ceo's, and designers in the world to gain an insight into their thought processes.
using the ideologies of design thinking & lean methodology, i strive to create experiences, design systems, and interfaces that drive the brands of the future.

starting with my itouch 4, i shot everything i could. each year i'd get the latest and greatest, and each year i'd shoot even more than the last. the light and shadows of nyc influenced my photography a ton, along with the tech that was enabling my to shoot. over the past couple years, i've been able to take photography to the max. i've had the chance to shoot the kitchens of the top restaurants in the world, such as blue hill. i've also won multiple scholastic national gold medals, the bloomberg best in grade award, and have had multiple photos on display in the metropolitan museum of art.
those itouch's i shot with didn't just allow me to take photos, but to explore a world of apps, helping me throughout my day. i realized that i could solve any problem i had by developing an app myself to fix it. so, i designed the logos and interfaces for all the apps i wanted to make with dreams of making them one day. taking in the energy that runs through nyc, i not only designed, but talked with the best designers in the country to learn from them. along with ui, i started designing entire brands and design systems to create design systems that each business could use. now, i'm taking a look into how design is interacting with the future, creating the interfaces of the next generation of tech. to do this, i've been lucky to talk with heads of design at waymo, squarespace, airbnb, and pentagram.
after designing so many app interfaces, i finally decided to bring them to life. over a summer, i taught myself how to develop the apps that sit on your homescreen. talking with founders of companies such as netflix, squarespace, and hundreds of others, i've built up a skill set that allows me to program at the intersection of code and design. since that summer, i've been awarded a scholarship to apple's worldwide developer's conference, and have brought multiple apps to life, including tower.
